The private H. Saunders buried at Caterpillar Valley Cemetery has number ,G/8552, and was killed 17 august 1916. He was the son of Mr & Mrs William Funnell Saunders, Chailey, Sussex (Born at Brighton and came from Canada to serve) There's no other Henry Saunders of the Sussex Rgt. buried there. <br />For all I know Sgt. George Saunders, L/8389 who was his brother, was killed the same day and he's listed at Thiepval Memorial.
