The photo above shows pupils from Group 5, Chailey National School in 1899. Details are shown below.
The photo was sent to me by the grandson of Frederick Bray.
Frederick is the fair-haired boy sitting on the extreme right and he would later
be wounded on the opening day of the Battle of The Somme, spend time in a German
Prisoner of War camp and ultimately escape back to British lines in Belgium.
