Chailey Parish Magazine mentions Pte C Beard serving with the 3rd Royal
Sussex in August 1918 and this information is repeated monthly up to and
including the final published roll call in July 1918.
Nothing else is known about this man although it is likely that he was a
young soldier, probably born around April or May 1900.
